A bustling harbour and marina area of downtown Athens.
A bustling harbour and marina area of downtown Athens. We loved it as being near the Zea Marina meant lots of nightlife and amazing super yachts etc. It had a good family feel with people out and about safely having fun till quite late. You could access public transport to get into Athens centre easily and I would say this is a good a place to stay if not better due to ability to swim and see some quieter parts beyond the central tourist areas. It also meant accessing trips to the Islands was easy as they mainly left from the marinas, and if you wanted a ferry or cruise these were also nearly at the port the other side of the peninsula.

We stayed near the marina which had lots of quaint restaurants. It was easy to walk around and enjoy. The hop-on hop-off bus stop was right outside our hotel and provided easy access to Athens without all the headaches of staying in Athens. Since we were taking a cruise, this hotel was easily accessible to the cruise terminal and the hotel staff took care of all our arrangements.

Our host was amazing.
Our host was amazing. She was such a great facilitator and helped us find everything that we needed. She was just more than cordial. She even helped us find a plug that we needed in the town nearby. Shelters find our way to the train and I have it was a very nice clean, happy place and about a 20 minute cab ride to the port with the cruise ships, she was amazing

It was several years since my last visit and I was pleasantly surprised. The area around the new metro station is so nice full of stores and cafes. The sea is so close and the feeling you get is that of a crowded yet friendly neighborhood.
We stayed at The Alex one night as we landed in Athens late and had a ferry ride in the morning. The hotel arranged our pick up from the airport and also to the port. The hotel was beautiful! We were upgraded unexpectedly at arrival and we had a beautiful view. The shower was amazing especially after a 12 hr travel day. We also had a nice breakfast in the morning at the rooftop before heading out. I definitely recommend The Alex!
Lilia Hotel is located close to the ferries at the Piraeus and to the metro station "Municipality Theatre" where trains take you to the airport and to Athens. The room was ok for a couple of nights but overlooked a wall. Breakfast is simple but acceptable. Staff is kind and helpful. After the check-out at 11, we were allowed to leave our suitcases till the afternoon when our flight was scheduled.
All receptionists were lovely, they allowed us to store our luggage at reception before and after check in/out times to explore the city more freely. Also we got an amazing room with views of Athens and the mountains.
The hotel is next to the metro station with two direct lines to the city center and the airport.
Everything is super new and clean, including the sauna and the roof top terrace.
The hotel is located in Piraeus on top of a small hill, it is modern and well equipped. The room we stayed had a wonderful view over all Athens. There is also a great rooftop bar with the same view. The hotel has also a private parking which is very convenient and it is only 5 minutes walking from Microlimano, a small port full of restaurants and bars.
Very clean updated comfortable room. The check in staff very friendly and helpful. This was a great place to stay and in a very good location close to restaurants. A quiet area was so nice! The free shuttle to cruise port was one of the deciding factors in chosing this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel! Thank you
The hotel is very well located in the Pireas area, with easy access to the port and to the Metro into Athens, and lots of options for food nearby. The staff were very helpful, and the room had been recently and tastefully refurbished and was very comfortable despite the small size (singe room)
The suite was fantastic and the sea view was amazing I liked my staying there, very clean, the stuff very helpful
But actually make sure when you book that you are in Pireas not in athens because it is far from Athens but there are a public transportation very close to the hotel
We loved the location as it was a 2 minute walk to the metro station. The metro was every 10 minutes and took only 15 minutes to get to either Piraeus port or Monastiraki to see the ancient ruins of Athens. The hotel was very beautiful and did exceed expectations.
I arrived at the port of Piraeus in the middle of the night and was able to get there quickly because this hotel is so close to the port. The hotel staff were all friendly. The metro station is nearby and it is very convenient to get into Athens.
The hotel was conveniently located near the port. 10 minute ride 26 Euro cab fare. The rooms were clean and the staff was very plesant and accomodating. Plenty of places to eat a short walk away and the do have a small breakfast
The hotel is placed near the port. It is around 10 minutes walk to the subway line.
The room in which we stayed was spacious, very clean and confortable and also had a big balcony.
The staff was very helpful with us.
A fantastic breakfast was included with a lot of hot options. Room was very nice, bed was comfortable, hotel is a walkeable distance from the port. Free wi-fi. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.
We chose this place coming from abroad to catch an early ferry. So the location near the port is super nice.
The hotel itself is clean and the stuff very friendly.
Location, price and cleaness. The hotel is located a couple of blocks from the Metro and Train Stations, also is very close from the port and vessel services.
good location. we needed to be near the port. very noisy because of street noise. not within the hotel. could be a little cleaner. staff was very friendly.
