Warm, welcoming and unapologetically ‘old school’ hotel. Polite, friendly and helpful staff at all hours of the day. Clean and comfortable. Amazing location. Breakfast overlooking English Bay was a highlight. We were only there due to awkward layover timing (18 hours) but loved our stay.

I brought good earplugs (as usual) so wasn't bothered by the noise of the very busy / partyish central steeet. For this price? Excellent.

Featuring an on-site restaurants and 2 bars, the Best Western Plus Sands is in the heart of Vancouver, only a 4-minute walk from English Bay beach. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Great location, safe quiet and close to the beach. So much better than expected for the price. A quick bus ride and you are in the middleof the city, 10 min walk to a ferry stop , couldn't have asked for better if you want a safe quiet place that is family friendly.
