We were upgraded to a room with a view of the lake. Staff very helpful and nice. There’s a Chinese restaurant in front serving great food. Daily special on restaurant is also very tasty and has huge portions. Breakfast is sufficient with lots of options. There’s a grocery store about 100 meters away. Location is walkable to pier and other city attractions.

The breakfast was good. Lots of choices of both warm and cold food. The location was perfect. Not too far to town centre, yet at the same time, not too close that it was noisy. Would recommend for the location and will stay again.

Very clean, simple hotel with rooms that had a 'vintage modern' flair at a very fair price. Staff very friendly and accomodating. In a location very close to water, shops, and sights. Free breakfast was generous and good. We didn't stay long (this was predominantly a sleeping spot between the Atlantic Ocean Road and Lillehammer), but we did find it very walkable, and the town was quaint and lovely. Parts of it reminded us of Amsterdam.

The hotel is well maintained and very clean. Our room was very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful in providing information that made our stay more pleasant. We didn’t try the restaurant for dinner but the complementary breakfast was wonderful with options for every taste or dietary need. The location was in a great neighborhood and an easy walk to the harbor. It was only about a block from the stop for the airport bus.

I was very pleased with my experience at Hotel Noreg following a 15 hour ferry ride. Solgunn checked me in after 12:30 a.m. and was very helpful with helping me plan my bus schedule for the following day. Accommodations were perfect, with a room that was immaculately clean and comfortable. I appreciated the generous breakfast in the morning. The price was very reasonable. Manager Thomas shared information about the hotel's vast art collection. Sylvia gave good information to help me find my way around Ålesund. Leonhard went above and beyond with helping me arrange an out of season ferry ride to a small village. Each of these examples demonstrate the commitment of Hotel Noreg to superior customer service.
